Elections and electoral registration: Outline
The Waveney District Council area is split up into 23 electoral areas called wards. The Council itself is made up of 48 seats, which means that some wards have more than one Councillor. The Council has recently changed its electoral cycle so it will now hold elections for all of its 48 seats in the same year.
You can apply to be included on the Electoral Register at any time throughout the year - for example, if you move house, turn 18 or simply realise that you are not currently on the Register.
