Council websites - accessibility: Outline
Making our website accessible to all is very important to us. Please let us know if you have any difficulty viewing our web pages
Waveney District Council aims to maintain 99% availability for its website with an average server response time of less than 1 second.
We have started to include QR (Quick Response) Codes with our most popular web content.
A QR Code is a readable barcode which, when 'scanned' can lead you to a website or web pages. To access the information you need you point a mobile phone (or tablet) at the QR code using a particular application on your phone or device and it will take you straight to the web page.
In the main, QR codes are being widely used as access points to more detailed information from things such as business cards, posters, flyers, signage etc as well as easy storage of web addresses for mobile access at another time.
Currently, Waveney District Council is trialling the software and assessing how it can help our customers to better access important or useful information.
