Carlton Colville Town Council are urging the local community to come along to a 'Visioning Day' to be held on Saturday 29th September, at Carlton Colville Community Centre

The centre is on Hall Road and the event is from 12.30pm - 4.30pm. It has been organised in partnership with Suffolk Acre, Waveney District Council and Suffolk County Council.

The event is an opportunity for local residents to come along and share their thoughts on shaping the future of Carlton Colville. This could include what is good about the area, or what could be improved.

One of the areas for discussion will be around community facilities. The Town Council want to gather views on what the community think would be the best use of the Carlton Colville School site once the Free School moves to Beccles.

Jill Tyler, Chair of the Town Council said, "We know  it is important  to ensure that we use this chance to get the views from the people of  Carlton Colville about our neighbourhood and how they can play a part in supporting the area to be a thriving community, we would encourage people to come along, have a chat and use the opportunity to support us in developing a Community Plan for Carlton Colville".

The event will be very informal with various groups from the area talking about what they have to offer,  including the Womens Institute, Local Community Centres, University of the Third Age, Youth Groups, and Carlton Colville Wildlife Trust. They will be joined by the Police and local Councillors.

To keep children occupied throughout the afternoon there will be free children's entertainment and for older youths there will be free games of inflatable human table football and assault course.

Free refreshments will be provided and the Women's Institute members will also be there with cakes for a small charge.
If any local clubs or organisations would like to be part of the day please contact Carlton Colville Town council on telephone 588569 or e-mail ccparishclerk@aol.com
