Chance for people with disabilities to speak up
Published on 13th July 2011
Local people with disabilities and their carers are invited to tell Waveney District Council how to make it easier for them to access the full range of services provided by the local authority.
Waveney Disability Forum is delivering the event on Tuesday July 19, with support from the Council, at Stella Maris Hall, Gordon Road, Lowestoft from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. The session aims to promote better understanding of the issues that may affect access to council services for people with disabilities and everything learned from the event will improve the way in which services are designed in the future, ensuring equal access by all Waveney residents.
For further information on attending the Accessing Services event or to book your space, please contact Kathleen Scott on 01502 523180 or 07776114446, or email Kathleen.scott@waveney.gov.uk.
