Information for candidates for the County Council Election

Elections and voting

Anyone wishing to stand as a candidate for the County Council election on 2nd May 2013 had to submit a nomination paper by the legal deadline.

Nomination papers were available to download here as a blank pack, or as a printed copy from the Elections Office, Waveney District Council, Town Hall, High Street, Lowestoft, NR32 1HS. 

Nomination papers had to be submitted to the Elections Office between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm on any working day from Thursday, 21st March up until the legal deadline for submission at midday on Friday, 5th April 2013 in order to be valid for this election. As the deadline for submission has now passed, a full list of candidates is now available.

An Election Agents and Candidates meeting was held at the Town Hall in Lowestoft at 10:30am on Monday, 18th March 2013. At this meeting, information about the County Council elections specific to Waveney was given out to prospective candidates and their agents who were in attendance.
