Police and Crime Commissioner Elections - Thursday, 15th November 2012

Results announced for the Police and Crime Commissioner Election.

Suffolk was one of 41 areas across England and Wales that held elections on Thursday, 15th November to elect a 'Police and Crime Commissioner'. Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) will be accountable for how crime is tackled in their police force area and will work alongside the Chief Constable to combat crime and deliver the police service within their force area.

Beccles South Ward by-election - Thursday, 15th November 2012

Results of the Beccles South Ward by-election

Following a vacancy arising on the District Council for the Ward of Beccles South, a by-election was called to fill this vacancy. The election was held on Thursday, 15th November to co-incide with the Police and Crime Commissioner Elections.

 

Uncontested elections:

Bungay Town Council by-election - Thursday, 12th April 2012

A by-election was called to fill one seat on Bungay Town Council. Following the close of nominations, only one valid nomination paper was received by the Returning Officer. This meant that the election was uncontested and no poll was held. The validly nominated candidate is now duly appointed as Town Councillor.

Carlton Colville Town Council by-election - Thursday, 7th June 2012

A by-election was called to fill one seat on Carlton Colville Town Council. Following the close of nominations, only one valid nomination paper was received by the Returning Officer. This meant that the election was uncontested and no poll was held. The validly nominated candidate is now duly appointed as Town Councillor.
