Residents car parking scheme

We have introduced this scheme in Lowestoft, Halesworth and Beccles to help residents who have difficulty parking near their homes. It only applies to residents of certain streets / designated areas in the town centres and permits are provided for an annual fee of £22.00 (£17.00 in Beccles)

You can apply for a Residents Parking Permit at the Marina Customer Services Centre or Beccles cash offices. Alternatively you can fill in an online version of the application form - which must then be printed, signed and sent with your payment. There is also a link to a blank version of the form. To ensure that the residents areas are only used by cars with a permit we employ Car Parking Officers to enforce the conditions. They can issue an Excess Charge Ticket for breach of conditions.
 
Parking fines may be payable where a vehicle is parked in a marked bay without a permit/ticket or outside a marked bay (on yellow lines etc.). The council will issue a ticket for an illegally parked vehicle which will advise the owner how to pay the required fine or appeal against the ticket.
