Waveney District Council 2013 Forward Plan Publication Dates Notice

Waveney's Forward Plan contains details of all of the key decisions that are planned over the next four months. It will be updated on or near the 14th of every month.

A key decision is one which is likely to:

• result in the Council incurring expenditure, or making savings, in excess of £100,000, or which are significant having regard to the local authority's budget for the service or function to which the decision relates; or
• be significant in terms of its effects on communities living or working in an area comprising two or more wards in the area of the local authority.

Key decisions can be made by the Cabinet, a Cabinet Member or an officer. They must be made at meetings open to the public unless the matter being considered includes confidential or exempt information. 

Where it is not possible for an officer to comply with the notification period of 28 working days of the expected date of the key decision, a Notice will be issued in accordance with the provisions of 'general exception' or 'special urgency' including the provisions relevant to the making of confidential executive decisions. The notice will set out why compliance with the 28 day notification period is impracticable and will set out the reasons why the decision (s) are urgent and cannot reasonably be deferred
