Council tax appeals
Appealing against your bill
You can appeal if you think:
- the Council is sending bills to the wrong person
- your home should be exempt
- the amount of the bill is incorrect because you should have been awarded a discount
- the amount of the bill is incorrect because you should have been awarded a disabled reduction
You should continue to pay your original council tax bill while your appeal is outstanding. If you feel that your property is in the wrong band, you may need to appeal your banding.
