How we can help with your event

Our Economic Services Team provides advice to event organisers as well as support and assistance in the marketing and promotion of local festivals and events.

If you would like to hold an event on Waveney District Council land, regardless of size, the Economic Services Team is here to help guide you through the application process.

We have put together the Events Guidance Pack, which is a combined booking form and guide to planning an event. It highlights the legal requirements of organising an event on Council land as well as the terms and conditions of land use.

For smaller community events that intend to attract a less than 100 people,  the Events Guidance Pack will help guide you through the applicable procedures for smaller events. The guide is designed to steer you through planning an event and will take you through the essentials, such as risk assessments, public liability insurance and health and safety. Each stage is broken down into manageable steps, hopefully making the event application process a lot smoother and achievable for all.
