Tourism development

Waveney District Council's Tourism, Events & Heritage Development Team is committed to the improvement & development of sustainable tourism & heritage in Waveney. The team is involved with:

• Marketing the district locally, regionally, nationally & internationally
• Providing visitor research, statistical information and trend analysis 
• Working with local partners and groups to develop tourism & heritage
• Managing a Tourist Information Service at both Lowestoft & Southwold
• Working with event organisers to encourage the sustainable development of events in Waveney
• Booking events into the district
• Delivering actions on the Waveney Cultural Strategy
• Delivering actions of The Sunrise Coast Tourism Strategy
• Co-ordinating national celebrations such as Royal Weddings, Armed Forces Day and Remembrance Services.
