The announcements on the location of the next phase of offshore windfarms presents huge opportunities for the local community in terms of job creation. The developments could offer a wide range of career opportunities including electrical and engineers, structural and health and safety specialists, construction and maintenance workers, to mention just a few.

Lowestoft College is one of the UK's leading providers of maritime training to the shipping and off-shore oil industries. The maritime college is an integral part of the college campus and offers training to seafarers and offshore personnel.

The Skills For Energy Partnership has the aim to bridge the gap in skills shortages within the energy industry in the East of England. The partnership provides access to resources and information from sector specific businesses, links to funding for training opportunities and provides a forum for networking and support.

The East of England Energy Group currently post vacancies on employment and career opportunities within the industry.
