What is a Local Strategic Partnerhip
(LSP)?
The Government requires an LSP in each district that is working to
enhance the quality of life, contribute to sustainable development,
and help coordinate and shape the future action of public, private,
voluntary and community organisations.
The Waveney LSP is made up of the LSP Board, which is
representatives of the many bodies that make up the Partnership.
The Board is chaired by Mark Bee, Leader of Waveney District
Council. The full membership of the Board is listed in the WLSP
constitution (see above).
The Waveney LSP also has a Project Management Group which are the
Chairs of the four Thematic Groups and is chaired by either the
Chief Executive of Waveney District Council or the Locality
Director of Environment and Transport, Suffolk County
Council.
The four Theme Groups are:
- Children and Young People
- Safer Stronger Sustainable Communities
- Healthier Communities and Older People
- Economic Development and Enterprise
Each of these 4 Groups will have a vision statement that is
currently being produced with the revision of the Waveney
Sustainable Communities Strategy.
