The Economic Regeneration Strategy is intended to identify the
challenges and issues that must be addressed in order to create a
more prosperous and sustainable District. It provides a focus by
establishing a clear framework for delivering the Council’s vision
within the context of economic regeneration and regenerating the
district as a whole.
The Strategy draws heavily on the extensive consultation already
undertaken through the development of the Waveney Prospectus, the
Local Development Framework and the Sustainable Communities
Strategy. Those findings have been considered along with a variety
of county and regional strategies.
The adoption of the Strategy is a vital tool to confirm the
Council's priorities and forms the basis for engagement with key
partners.
