The Council, with partners, has been successful in the past for
bidding for regeneration funds through UK and EU grants to manage
and coordinate projects to build the capacity of the local
community and improve quality of life. However, public sector
intervention funds, whether regional, national or from Europe are
facing reprioritisation and growing competition. Despite this, the
district has great potential and realistic opportunities in
securing future inward investment and the Infrastructure and
Regeneration team will continue to research and identify new
funding to secure the districts prosperity.
The new round of European funding is more competitive but wider in
scope and potentially offers greater opportunities for the future.
Further information will be added on the new funds and projects
which are being developed when available but in the meantime please
contact the team on 01502 523214.
