This is an on-line Internet service that allows the public to access details relating to planning applications and other planning related information submitted to Waveney District Council. It is still under development and not all aspects are functional yet.

You can:

• monitor the progress of an application or an appeal
• submit comments about an application and receive an acknowledgement within one working day
• search a constantly updated list of applications received and decided each week

IMPORTANT BROWSER INFORMATION

• Please note that this facility only works fully with MS Internet Explorer (IE) 5.5 and above and other browsers may not display the "Associated Documents" that you may wish to see.
• If you are a Mozilla Firefox user there is an add-on that can be downloaded to open pages in IE ( http://ietab.mozdev.org )
• Users of other browsers may have problems viewing associated documents and maps.

Please note that this is a new and developing system and it currently only holds information for applications submitted on or after 13th November 2006.

You will in time be able to:

• view details of many historic applications
• view property details by reference to a map.

Copies of current planning applications can be viewed at Marina, The Marina, Lowestoft, NR32 1HH (next to Marina Theatre).

Customer Services are available from 9:00 to 16:30 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) and from 9:30 to 18:00 (Thursday). If you would like to speak to a Planning Officer please make an appointment with them before arriving at the Planning Office.

Whilst some historic information is available online, through the Public Access system, a hard copy of the historic application information is still available. We require customers to request this information 48 hours in advance so that the information can be made available for inspection. If you would like to speak to a Planning Officer when you inspect the application please state this at the time when requesting the information.

*Please note that the Public Access System is not available between 2am and 5am due to the requirement for the system to be backed up.
