Where are we now?

(including Proposals Map) was submitted to the Secretary

Hearing is expected to take place in October.

representations received at the Proposed Submission stage and the
Schedule of the Council’s Recommended Minor Changes in response to
these representations in the Examination Library.
An independent Planning Inspector, Michael Moore BA(HONS) MRTPI
MCIT MIHT has been appointed to Examine the Development Management
Policies DPD.
What happens next?
The Planning Inspector is
assessing the ‘soundness’ of the Development Management
Policies Development Plan Document. If the document is
found sound it may still be subject to minor changes, details of
which will be set down in the Inspectors Report. A revised
version of the Development Management Policies DPD
will then be adopted, incorporating the Inspector’s changes. If
the Development Management Policies DPD is found
unsound, then the Council may be required to undertake all or
part of the preparation of the document
again.
What Have We Done So Far?
Hundreds of
individuals and organisations gave their views during
earlier consultations.
What is the Development Management Policies
Document?
The Development Management Policies
Development Plan Document contains criteria based policies which
will help to make decisions on planning applications. The document
covers the whole of the administrative area of Waveney District
except that part lying within the Broads Executive Area. The Broads
Authority is producing a separate Local Development Framework for
their administrative area.
