What Have We Done So Far?
What Happens Next?
Following Examination of the Core Strategy the Inspector will
publish his binding report. If the document is found ‘sound’ it may
still be subject to minor changes. A revised version of the Core
Strategy will then be adopted, incorporating the inspector’s
changes. If the Core Strategy is found ‘unsound’ then the Council
may be required to undertake all or part the preparation of the
document again.
What Is The Core Strategy?
The Core Strategy sets out the Council’s overall
approach to future development, where it should take place and the
key factors that need to be taken into consideration when
considering proposed developments. All other Development Plan
Documents will need to conform with the Core Strategy.
