A Local Land Charges search provides information on a property.
There are different types of searches that can be applied for, your
solicitor will usually apply for the search on your behalf. Some
mortgages require that a search is undertaken on the property,
before they will offer the money.
The standard search will include Planning,Building
Control,Highways,Environmental Health and Local Land Charge
information.
Current Fees
- LLC1 search certificate only £6.00
- Standard search - Commercial (LLC1 & CON29) £170.00
- Standard search - Residential (LLC1 & CON29) £145.00
- Additional parcels of land (each) £13.00
- Optional part 2 CON29 enquiries (each) £13.00
- Additional CON29 enquiries (each) £22.00
- Personal search (register only) £11.00
- Copy of legal document/agreement £23.50
- Copy of planning consent £7.00
If you have difficulty working out additional parcels of land,
the Local Land Charges team will be willing to advise you. Fax a
plan to the team on the number below, indicating the search area
and any optional/additional questions. Someone will then get back
to you advising you of the correct fee.
Refund Policy
Due to the speed that
searches are processed, a refund will only be possible if the Local
Land Charges team is contacted by 10:30am on the day the search is
received in the office.
Cheques
Please make cheques payable to 'Waveney District Council, all fees
must be pre-paid.
Plans
A single, up to date plan is
required for every search with the search extent clearly
marked.
Expedition Service
There is no expedition service available for a fee, however, if
you have an urgent search or completion date, please contact the
Local Land Charges team who will endeavour to return the search to
you asap.
