This is held electronically. Whilst it can not be accessed directly
by the Public, information can be obtained either by requesting a
Personal Search or by completing an
official local land charges register search
form.

All requests for Official Searches are required to be submitted
with;
- Appropriate form (one copy)

- Site location plan with search extent highlighted
As of 6th April 2009 the Con29R will be available for customers to
purchase responses to individual
questions.

Personal Searches
All requests for Personal searches are required to be submitted
with;
- Date and time of appointment
- Search address
- Plan of property
- Name and contact details of company performing the
search
The appropriate fee must be paid when you arrive to collect the
information.
Appointments for Personal Searches
Whilst the Land Charges Team require an appointment to be made for
access to information (where it is not available on a self service
basis through Public Access terminals or On Line) the team aim to
accept appointments for the next working day. However, there may be
rare occasions where, due to high demand or staff sickness, an
appointment may not be available for up to 3 working days.

Service Delivery
The Land Charge Service is aware of the need to provide an accurate
and timely response to requests for information. To this end we aim
to provide a response to Property Search requests within 3 working
days of receipt for 95% of cases. For information on current turn
