What is the Developers Forum?
Waveney District Council Planning department aims to encourage
better communication with its local development stakeholders. Under
the Chairmanship of Councillor Ken Sale and Vice Chair Edward
Gilder (Badger Builders Ltd) the group has met to discuss many of
the difficult planning issues facing the district, to develop
policies for both encouraging and controlling new development to
meet the needs of all. It also proves a useful means of updating
developers on government proposals and changes in the planning
system.
Previous meetings have covered topics including:
Planning
Policy ,
Section 106 , Best
Value Inspection Report, presentation from 1st East, planning
policy workshop, planning improvement workshop,
Local Authority Modernisation Project (LAMP) and
Local Development Framework (LDF) updates and
Strategic Flood Risk Assessment .
Agendas from previous Developers Forum Meetings:
Meetings are held at approximately 4 month intervals, the actual
dates are flexible to accommodate the most up to date planning
information.
