YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD NEEDS
YOU
Waveney District Council is calling to arms all local groups to
join England’s biggest ever litter campaign, The Big Tidy Up
2008.
The 6 month initiative, being run by Keep Britain Tidy from
September to March, is helping communities get together to clean up
their patch and Waveney District Council would like to show the
country that the people of Waveney care about their
environment.
Registration is easy - all groups need to do is register on
www.thebigtidyup.org (or download the
registration form at the bottom of this page) and they will be sent
a kit containing tabard bibs, refuse sacks, posters, badges,
stickers and a guide on carrying out tidy ups safely. By
registering, the group can also create an online profile page for
its news.
This exciting campaign gives Waveney a real chance to get the
community together and make a difference to the area. We’re
encouraging groups to register and we will give them as much help
and advice as we can. Even though it’s not a competition, it would
be great to see Waveney as the place of action by registering a
good number of groups on the Big Tidy Up.
