Notice in Local Newspaper

Shown below is the required format of the Notice that is required to be placed in a local newspaper circulating in the vicinity of the premises. The Notice must be published on at least one occasion during the period of 10 working days starting the day after your application was made. Please note, the words in italics are not to be replicated in your Notice but rather are there to guide you to insert the correct wording for your premises, as applicable.

The application and the register of the licensing authority may be viewed at Waveney District Council, Town Hall, High Street, Lowestoft, Suffolk NR32 1HS on Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm and Fridays 8.30am – 4.30pm.

Anyone wishing to make representations about this application should write to the Senior Licensing Officer, Waveney District Council, Town Hall, High Street, Lowestoft, Suffolk NR32 1HS by not later than [insert date 28 consecu tive days starting on the day after the day on which the application was given to the licensing authority by the applicant].

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application and the maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for the offence is £5000.
