Pursuant to section 349 of the Gambling Act 2005 and the Gambling Act 2005 (Licensing Authority Policy Statement) (England and Wales) Regulations 2006, the Licensing Authority of Waveney District Council hereby gives notice that from 31 January 2007 the Authority’s first ‘Statement of Licensing Principles’ document shall be effective within the district, and shall be in force for a period of three years (unless revised sooner).

• Waveney District Council Office, Town Hall, High Street, Lowestoft, Suffolk NR32 1HS. (08.30hrs to 17.00hrs Monday to Thursday and 08.30hrs to 16.30hrs Friday)

The ‘Statement of Licensing Principles’ document has been prepared and adopted in accordance with the requirements of the Gambling Act 2005, including a full period of statutory and public consultation running from 26 July 2006 until 6 October 2006, and contains the principles that the Licensing Authority proposes to apply in exercising its various functions under the Gambling Act 2005.
