The Public Hall is situated in Smallgate, Beccles and is available for hire from Waveney District Council's Local Office at 6 Market Street, Beccles Telephone 01502 713113.

The Hall dates back over 300 years and is the principal entertainment venue in the Town.

Combining a mixture of amateur and charitable concerts/shows and events the Public Hall also serves the local community as a venue for craft fairs, exhibitions, blood donor sessions, dances and receptions.

The Hall can accommodate 150 people seated at tables, closely seated 200, dancing 250, mixed occupancy 150 and in the balcony 70. There is a small stage on which amateur dramatic productions are held.

Extensive refurbishment has recently taken place with improved toilets and access.

Hire of the hall is subject to the conditions of the Public Entertainment licence, Theatres Act 1968 and current health and safety/ consumer protection legislation.

The management reserve the right to refuse admission to and hire of the hall.
