Colourful beach huts are available for hire, overlooking the award
winning beaches at Lowestoft and Southwold. These can be hired on a
daily or weekly basis, and even seasonally in Lowestoft.

Further information on Lowestoft Weekly Beach Huts
- Beach huts are available for hire on the seafront at Lowestoft,
situated on Jubilee Parade between Kensington Gardens and the
Claremont Pier.
- The huts measure approx. 2m by 1.7m and are suitable as a base
during the day for beach activities and changing. Two deck chairs
are provided in each hut.
- The huts overlook a mainly sandy beach, which is patrolled at
busy times by lifeguards, located close to the Beach Office. There
are water standpipes at intervals along Jubilee Parade, at lower
seafront level. Public toilets are situated below Kensington
Gardens and between hut no’s.167/168. There are also showers and a
baby changing room.
- Weekly bookings are available from 12.00 on Saturday till
4.30pm on the Friday. Booking enquiries can be made via the local
Tourist Information Centre at the East Point Pavilion, Royal Plain,

- The Beach Office is situated next to hut no.106 on Jubilee
Parade and keys must be collected and returned to this point. The
Beach Officer can be contacted 7 days a week from May to September
– 9.00am till 5.00pm and contacted on 01502 586167, where a message
maybe left, if away on beach duties
- Dogs are not permitted on the South and Victoria Beach between
the two piers from May to September inclusive. Dogs must be kept on
a lead on the promenade from the South Pier to Pakefield.
- Small butane gas rings may be used in the huts for the
provision of teas and coffee. However, there are several cafes and
refreshment areas in the vicinity of the beach huts.
- Licensed hotels, public houses and the shopping centre of
Lowestoft are all within a close walking distance.
