When
accessing beaches in Waveney (or anywhere else) please
make your own safety a priority.

On-foot access is permitted to all public beaches in the
Waveney district.
There is no vehicular access to any of the beaches except
Lowestoft beach and then only in the following circumstances:
- To launch PPW's (Only for members of the
PPW registration scheme )
- For Disabled fishing accesss (At the South Pier)
Fishing is allowed on all public beaches in Waveney.
Bonfires/Barbeques
Before having a bonfire or barbeque on the beach you must request
permission from the Principal Services Manager (Leisure Facilities)
in writing. A list of conditions will be sent to you on receipt of
your letter of request. (The conditions include the relevant
services you must contact and details of insurance)
Fireworks
Before launching fireworks from the beach you must request
permission from the Principal Services Manager (Leisure Facilities)
in writing. A list of criteria will be sent to you on receipt of
your request.
