The Suffolk Sports Awards were first introduced in 2006.

Suffolk Sport, in partnership with BBC Radio Suffolk and the East Anglian Daily Times are on a quest to find the individuals, teams, clubs and schools who have made outstanding contributions to sport across the county over the last year.

• Nominations are invited for 10 categories:
• The Larking Gowen Sports Personality of the Year Award*
• The GrassRoots Young Sports Personality of the Year Award*
• The BBC Radio Suffolk Unsung Hero Award*
• The Coach of the Year Award*
• The Team Ipswich Contribution to Disability Sport Award
• The Harrod UK Club of the Year Award
• The Touchline Sports Team of the Year Award
• The Your Sport School of the Year Award
• The Innovative Scheme of the Year Award
• The Unilever Spirit of the Games Award

Where appropriate, winners of the Waveney Sports Awards will automatically be nominated by Waveney District Council for the Suffolk Sports Awards.

N.B. Winners of categories marked by * will be nominated by Suffolk Sport for the corresponding category at this years East Region Sports Awards (supported by Sport England East and BBC East) subject to the winners meeting the Regional criteria.
