Registration onto the Housing Waiting List and Allocation
of Council Accommodation
The Joint Housing Register is soon to be replaced
by the Great
Yarmouth and Waveney Partnership Homeselect Scheme in early
2008.
Waveney District Council operates a Joint Housing Register for
allocation of Council accommodation and to the six main Housing
Associations. Details on the eligibility for the housing register
and the process for allocation of council/housing association
accommodation can be obtained from the contact details above or by
telephoning 01502 523162.
Introductory Tenancies
All new tenants with the Council will have an Introductory tenancy.
This will be for 12 months when it becomes a Secure Tenancy.
Introductory tenants do not have the same rights as a Secure
tenant.
