As a Tenant of the Council you are required to pay a weekly rent, for the property you rent from the Council (including garages ). The Council will, by prior agreement, allow payments fortnightly or monthly payments.

If you have any difficulty paying your rent you must contact the Council immediately. Failure to pay your rent on time could put your tenancy at risk.

You can pay at all Council cash offices in Lowestoft, Beccles, Bungay and Halesworth, using your tenant reference number.

You also have the option of paying at a Post Office with your plastic "Rent payment card".

You may want to use the option of paying by Direct Debit on a monthly basis to make life easier for yourself.
