Council housing-nuisance
Every tenant with
Waveney District Council has a tenancy agreement, which prohibits
any behaviour which causes a nuisance to another person. The
Council can not always take action, this will depend on various
factors, but where action is appropriate the Council does take very
strong action.

Evictions
Every tenant has an obligation under the terms of their tenancy
agreement to make sure their weekly rent is paid. The Council will
always be happy to come to an agreement for a tenant to pay any
rent arrears by instalments. However the Council reserves the right
to take legal action where arrears are not paid, and this
can end in eviction.

Adaptations to Council property for disabled
persons
The Council is prepared to consider carrying out adaptations to
properties for disabled tenants.

Right to Buy
Secure tenants of the Council have the Right to Buy their property
which they rent from the Council.
