Lowestoft’s Ness Point Turbine is the first commercial wind turbine in Suffolk and the largest wind turbine in Britain.

The turbine has been named “Gulliver” by local residents and is capable of producing 2.75MW of electricity. This is enough to supply over 1500 homes and will save in excess of 6000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per year.

Nacelle (houses the gearbox and control systems): 83 tonnes, 11.2m / 37ft long, 3.3m /11ft wide, 3.8m / 12.5ft high
