The Council is involved in a number of initiatives which are of Sub Regional significance. The Subregion of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft & Waveney is highlighted in a number of County and Regional Economic Strategies. One study which has a strategically significant influence on the direction of investment in this area is the Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft Subregional Development framwork study. This document proposes a vision, strategy and action programme for the subregion which East of England Development Agency, Norfolk & Suffolk County Councils , Waveney District Council, Great Yarmouth Borough Council and The Government Office for the East of England are now pressing forward with the action programme.
