The purpose of this Strategy is to set a clear and coherent framework for the future development of the Council’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and infrastructure that will support delivery of the Council’s objectives, enhance its performance management framework and meet E-Government targets.

The Council considers that the effective use of ICT is essential to support efficient, customer focussed, Best Value services, subject to the available resources. As such, the ICT Strategy is a key document to support the future activities of this authority.
