We can order your employer to make deductions from your pay. This
is called an attachment of earnings.
Your employer is entitled to deduct an administration cost of up
to £1 for each order.
The amounts that are taken from your pay will depend on how much
you earn. See the tables below for exact figures.

Your employer will continue to take payments until you have paid
what you owe.
By law, your employer must follow the Attachment of Earnings
Order and may be prosecuted and fined up to £2,000 if they do
not.
Once we issue the Attachment of Earnings Order, we can only stop
deductions once you have paid us all the council tax you owe.
