Who is consulting? 
Waveney District Council
And why? 
The Gambling Act 2005 requires all Licensing Authorities to prepare and publish a Statement of Principles that they propose to apply in exercising their functions under the Act during the three-year period to which the policy applies.

Who do they want to consult? 
The Chief Officer of Police
One or more persons who appear to the authority to represent the interests of persons carrying on gambling businesses in the authority’s area
One or more persons who appear to the authority to represent the interests of persons who are likely to be affected by the exercise of the authority’s functions under the Gambling Act 2005



When is the consultation taking place?
Start Date:  26th July 2006 
End Date: 6th October 2006

Outcome
The report on the findings of this consultation went before the Licensing Committee on 11th October 2006. The report contains a list of stakeholders and consultees, a list of responses and a summary of the response document and led to the publication of Waveney District Council's "Gambling Act 2005: Statement of Licensing Principles".
