Who is
consulting?
Waveney District Council
And why?
Planning legislation, which came into effect at the end of
September 2004 introduced a new approach to plan making. County
Structure Plans and District Local Plans are currently being
replaced by Local Development Frameworks. The Core Strategy is one
of the development plan documents that will make up the Local
Development Framework. Following consultation on an Issues and
Options paper, the Council published for comment and discussion in
February this year, some further options concerned with the
settlement strategy, developer contributions and affordable
housing. The results of both these consultations have been taken
into account in the preparation of the Core Strategy Preferred
Options. These are now being published for comment and
debate.
