Waveney District Council values your opinions and wants you to help
us plan for the future of Council Services.
Having spoken to you last year, we updated what we call our
‘Strategic Direction’ (or business plan) in November 2006 to help
us prioritise what we do and what we spend money on.
But it doesn’t stop there. The Council will keep the Strategic
Direction up to date and we will speak to you every year to ensure
it reflects YOUR priorities, what YOU want, and to help us with our
budget setting process.
It is up to us to listen to you, to deliver services to a required
standard and also work with others who can help us achieve
this.
Last year, you told us that you thought the five most important
services provided by the Council were:
- Refuse collection and recycling
- Highways and footpath maintenance
- Street Cleaning
- Creating and sustaining job opportunities
- Public conveniences
We also asked you to think about some issues which we call
‘Priority Outcomes’. They are:
- Regeneration
- the Environment
- Customer Access (to information and services)
- Performance (of the Council)
- Housing
- Community Safety
- Health & Wellbeing
You told us that the three most important were:
- Environment
- Regeneration
- Customer
