Consultation Overview     
We have developed an Equality Scheme that pulls our race, disability and gender equality schemes together – and it goes broader than that – we are trying to ensure that all aspects of diversity and difference are picked up.  

Who is consulting?
Waveney District Council

And why?    
Everyone in the community is important and this new scheme aims to bring about a sense of common purpose. We aim to provide services that are accessible to all as well as fairness and equality in the employment of our staff.

Who do they want to consult?  
Any Waveney residents/users of council services  

When is the consultation taking place?
Start Date:  1 July 2008
End Date:    22 August 2008


Outcome:   
We are currently developing an action plan outlining our key priorities and targets in the area of equality and diversity for the next 3 years. We would like to hear your views so you can influence the development of this plan so please let us have your comments.
