well and what they can do to improve their services for people with
disabilities.

And why?
As part of our duty under the Disability Discrimination Amendment
Act 2005, Waveney District Council is required to publish a
Disability Equality Scheme. Part of the Scheme involves
consultation with local residents, particularly those with a
disability, to find out what we do well, what we don't do well and
what we can do to improve our services for people with
disabilities. As part of that consultation, we are seeking your
views.
Who do they want to consult?
Waveney
residents who are one of the following:
. people with disabilities
. carers of people with disabilities
. those who work with people with disabilities
. a representative of a disabled persons organisation
When is the consultation taking place?
Start Date: 22nd September 2006
End Date: 11th October 2006
Outcome:
Information gained from this consultation was used to produce a
Disability Equality Scheme.
