Chamber Business Awards incorporating the Chamber’s Retail Arm – The Lowestoft Town Management Partnership

2008 sees the launch of the first ever Business Awards. The awards are designed to recognise and reward business success in our region.

"The Business Awards 2008 is a way of giving something back to those successful and proactive companies who, by helping themselves, are helping the growth of the local business community.

If proof were needed of the new and dynamic spirit that abounds with businesses in our districts both established and new then these awards will be the prefect opportunity to recognise this.

The Chamber shall be looking for shining examples that express the energy and optimism that we know is abundant in our area and provides us with a great opportunity to present the positive benefits of both living and working in such a delightful place.

A chance to showcase the best of our area; both its talented employees together with established and thriving businesses and shed its jaded image. Our sub region is emerging through regeneration as a smart and pleasurable destination!

The marketing opportunities will be tremendous and unparalleled this year but they will continue long after that for the award winners and sponsors. Commencing on June 5th and culminating in a prestigious awards evening on November 20th at The Wherry Hotel with some 200 guests expected.

For this our inaugural event, the chamber welcomes THE Lowestoft JOURNAL as overall sponsors of these awards, along with individual categories sponsored exclusively by Patrons including our MP Bob Blizzard. In addition our local Radio Station ‘The Beach’ who will be sponsoring the Retail awards of the Lowestoft Town Management Partnership.

Helen McDermott has confirmed her availability to be MC for the evening and there shall also be some exciting local talent in the form of Kerry Kennedy who is an outstanding singer and will keep the evening going with a swing. This will not be your average awards evening!!

Chamber patrons Obbtronic Studio will manage the event with filming, photography sound and vision and this together with the publicity through the Lowestoft Journal, The Beach and other Business publications in the region will see this inaugural event firmly established in the Business calendar for many years to come.
